Rainbow Bridge

A modern snapshot of North Shore rhythm captured in motion.

This wrap-around design places you directly at the historic entrance of Haleʻiwa Town, where the double concrete arches of the 1921 Rainbow Bridge frame a perfect island day. Stand over the cool, slow-moving waters of the Anahulu Stream as paddleboarders glide beneath the rails, green sea turtles (honu) surface near the harbor mouth, and the unmistakable silhouette of the ʻiwa bird circles high on the trade winds above.

Born in the peak of the sugar plantation era to replace a narrow wooden crossing, this iconic Art Deco monument has transitioned from a path for cane trains to a timeless cultural symbol of country life. It isn't just a crossing—it is a living canvas where Hawaii’s agricultural heritage meets modern surf culture.

Celestial Bridge: Traditionally, an ānuenue is seen as a sacred path connecting the physical world (honua) to the spiritual realm. It was believed to be the pathway the gods used to descend to Earth and the path for departed souls to ascend to the heavens.
