Great question—and here's the honest answer: this pareo is made from 100% polyester, which isn't a natural fiber. But sustainability isn't just about what something is made from—it's about how long it lasts, how it's used, and what happens next.

Because it's 100% polyester (not a poly-cotton blend), it can be mechanically or chemically recycled back into new polyester fiber at the end of its life. Poly-cotton blends can't do this—separating cotton from polyester isn't practical at scale, so blended fabric almost always ends up in a landfill instead of a recycling stream.
